Hello from your school counselors! February 13th-17th is our Job Shadow window for this current school year. If you are interested in job shadowing, please see a school counselor for a packet. Please be sure to read the packet in its entirety for very important information regarding job shadowing. If you have questions, please reach out to a school counselor.
Things to note:
- Students must have a completed permission slip, a completed attendance form, and a completed reflection form submitted to the NHS School Counseling Department in order to have the absence count as an excused absence for job shadowing.
- Students can only job shadow ONE DAY.
- Students will complete a thank you note (directions are in the packet) and submit it to a school counselor for it to be mailed.
- Job shadowing in a school in Newberry County can only be done at an elementary school. The permission form must include the signature of the elementary principal and NHS principal.
- Any job shadowing in healthcare must go through Jennifer Holliday. Her contact information is in the packet.
- 9th and 10th graders may job shadow at the NCCC. This must be approved by Sarah Harvey. Her contact information is also in the packet.
