MCHS Honors Our Heroes at Annual Veterans Day Assembly
Mid-Carolina High School proudly hosted its annual Veterans Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 11, dedicating the morning to honoring the brave men and women who have served our nation. The day began with a special pancake breakfast at 8:15 am for all veterans and their families who attended, providing a chance for fellowship and gratitude before the formal program. The Assembly, organized and executed by our dedicated JROTC cadets, was a truly moving tribute.
The program included a welcome to all guests, and the MCHS Band set a patriotic tone with a stirring rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" and the "Armed Forces Medley." We were honored to hear a powerful Veterans Day Message delivered by a special guest speaker, Major James Taylor. The ceremony featured a solemn POW-MIA Ceremony by the Honor Guard, and the poignant playing of Taps. The program also featured the formal Introduction of Veterans and Flag Presentations. The MCHS Chorus closed the program with "God Bless the USA.”
Thank you to every veteran and family member who shared this special day with us; your service and sacrifice are deeply appreciated by the entire Mid-Carolina High School community.
