Our SIX girls competed in 9 of the 11 events Saturday, and we placed 9th over all.

And just like that, swim season is over.  We had an excellent showing this past Saturday, October 10th in North Charleston.  Here is a brief recap of events we swam.

Event 17 - 100 Yard Backstroke - Sami Curry (9th) - Seed time 1:08.23 (12th place) - Finish time 1:06.62 (14th place)

Event 19 - 100 Yard Breaststroke - Jenna Burge (8th) - Seed time 1:15.31 (5th place ) - Finish time 1:16.06 (9th place)

Event 21 - 400 Yard Freestyle Relay - Seed time 4:18.30 (9th place) - Finish time 4:12.04 (8th place)

I am extremely proud of how these girls composed themselves and rose to the level of competition presented.  We have a fairly young team (1 - 7th grader, 2 - 8th graders, 2 - 9th graders, and 1 - 11th grader) and with all of them competing at the state competition, I continue to look forward to each new season with a "what's next" approach.
