From Coach Renee Joiner:
On September 17, MCHS' Cross Country teams had outstanding runs at Clinton HS against Emerald, Clinton, Palmetto, Laurens, and Chapman. The girls' team came in second place, following close behind Palmetto High School. Congratulations to Cameron Wicker for finishing 2nd overall at 22:10. Caroline Matney finished second for the Rebels with a 24:20. Haley Thomason (24:59) and Claire Hawkins (25:06) both had PRs.
The boys team finished fourth in a very tight race. Jon Lawson Cope finished 4th overall at 19:35. Samual Trainer finished second for the Rebels with a 20:30. He was followed closely by David Rodgers (21:08) and Alex Garcia (21:42). Eleven runners from the boys team earned PRs (personal records) at the race.
